Turinta is a Portuguese publisher that is Portugal's equivalent of AA publishing. They produce a range of regional road maps and city street maps that cover the whole of Portugal
Turinta is the only Portuguese publisher that covers the entire country in the form of five different detailed regional maps. Characteristic for these maps, with the exception of the Algarve, is the combination of geographic information and GPS references. Each map presents a complete index of localities and offers maps of major cities in the region. The road network and the railways are displayed on a coloured background indicating the altitude levels. Places of interest and attractions are clearly highlighted. The mapping may vary somewhat depending on the scale of the map.
Turinta draws informative street plans and is very easy to navigate. The main sites and places of interest are clearly indicated. Colours distinguish different roads, areas and parks. Specific details include subway lines and train stations, railroads and ferry locations. Arterial circulation routes and car parks are also highlighted. A range of symbols indicates tourist information centres, churches, municipal buildings and public service spaces. The map presents a complete register of the streets. Detailed montages illustrate the Lisbon centre in more detail as well as the network of all metro stations.
