Author Derrick Pratt describes it as straggling &quot;untidily over the south facing north bank of the River Clywedog&quot; or&#039;babbling stream&#039;. Features on the map include the Minera Lead Mines,  Pentre,  St Mary&#039;s church,  part of the community known as New Brighton,  Minera Hall,  Pen-y-Bryn,  Silica mine,  Minera Lime Works,  New Minera Lead Mine. A mineral railway is shown to the lead mines and an aerial ropeway to Silica mine. A stretch of the GWR Wrexham &amp; Minera branch is also shown,  including Berwig Halt,  Vicarage Crossing Halt and Coedpath station. <p>This detailed map covers the western side of Wrexham,  with coverage stretching from the cemetery and Wat&#039;s Dike westward to Pool Covert and Bersham church,  and from Felin Puleston northward to Croes-newydd. Features include Puleston Mills,  Esless Mills,  Esless Hall,  Turkey paper mills,  Ddol,  Bunkers Hill,  Bersham Mills,  stretches of railway with engine shed,  Croes-newydd South and West Junctions,  Moss Valley Junction,  fever hospital,  Workhouse. Although the western fringe of Wrexham is shown,  most of the map is rural. On the reverse are extracts from a contemporary trade directory.The map links up with Sheets 28.07 New Broughton to the north and 28.12 Wrexham to the east.</p></description>

<p>This detailed map covers the town of Denbigh,  in the 16th century virtually the capital of NE Wales,  and described by Leland as having a market &quot;which is fayre,  and large,  and paved of late yeares,  the confluence to the market on Tewesday is exceding great&quot;. However,  the town declined in importance in the 19th century with the rise of Wrexham. Our map covers most of the town,  and features include the town centre,  Castle,  Howells School,  St David&#039;s church,  Copenhagen,  Lenten Pool,  Graig Quarry and siding,  Fron,  infirmary,  Alafowlia,  railway and station,  High Street,  St Hilary&#039;s church,  Borough Market. On the reverse is an &quot;Alphabetical list of Private Residents,  Traders and Others&quot; from an 1890 directory.</p></description>

<p>This detailed map covers the industrial village of Brymbo,  just NW of Wrexham. Brymbo Hall is near the centre of the map and coverage stretches from Smelt Wood eastward to Cefn,  and from The Green southward to Ty-cerryg. The Brymbo Steel Works is a major feature surrounded by much of the village of Brymbo,  including St John&#039;s church (at top of map),  Tai,  Brymbo Colliery,  The Green,  and many railway tracks. The various (and confusing!) railways include GWR Wrexham &amp; Minera line with The Lodge Halt,  GCR Brymbo Branch with terminus,  GCR Vron Branch and GWR Vron Branch. Other features include Phosphate Works,  Black Lane Colliery,  Offa&#039;s Dike,  several old mine shafts. Communities or areas include The Lodge,  Cefn,  Pen-rhos. On the reverse is a directory of Brymbo with railway timetables for the Wrexham-Berwig Halt line and Brymbo &amp; Coed Talon Branch.The map links up with Sheets 28.03 Moss Valley to the east.</p></description>
