The N71 National Secondary Road does extend the vertical length of the map, running along part of the coastline at Bantry Bay and through Bantry Town. The remainder of the map is predominantly served by regional and third class roads.several prominent Kerry and Cork towns are featured, including Glengarriff, Dunmanway, and Drimoleague. A large portion of the Cork Gaeltacht of Muscraí is on this map. This map encompasses mountainous and forestry regions. The Caha Mountains lie furthest west on this sheet. The Shehy Mountains also lie to the north. Some of the highest mountains on the map include Coomnadiha, Sugarloaf Mountain, Glenlough Mountain, Knockboy, Carran, Conigar, Douce Mountain and Mullaghmesha. There are a number of marine features on this map including Dunmanus Bay to the southwest, Bantry Bay to the west, the Kenmare River to the northwest and Lough Allua to the northeast. The larger rivers on this map include the River Lee, Bandon River, Brewery River, Saivnose River, Four Mile Water, Mealagh River, Owvane River, Sheen River, Baurearagh River and the Kerry River. The designated waymarked walks on this map offer visitors a fantastic opportunity to explore the landscape and enjoy the scenery. Sheep’s Head Way, Coomkeen Loop, Glanactougha Loop, Deehish Cascades Loop, Shronacarton Walk, Melagh Wood Loop, Beara Breifne Way, Glengariff Nature Trails and the Bonane Beara Loops are all extraordinary routes for walks.

Covering the coastal area from League Point to Dun ná Sead (Baltimore), this map includes Bear Island, Rinn Mhuintir Bháire (Muntevary or Sheep's HEad) Inis Earcáin (Sherkin Island), Inis Cléire (Cape Clear Island), Rinn Ghearróige (Ringarogy Island), Inis Uí Drisceoil (Hare Island) and Carraig Aonair, better know as the Fastnet Rock. The map includes a number of marked walking/hiking trails including the Sheep's Head Way, Caherga Loop, Cahe Loop, Peakeen Ridge Walk, Baran Loop, Farranamanagh Loop, Mount Corrin Loop, Butter Road Walk, and the Kilcoe Ballydehop Walk along with several others.  The map also shows the Sheep's Head Cycle Route and Skibbereen Cucle Loop.

The N70 also passes through part of the Gaeltacht area between Cathair Dónall (Caherdaniel) and Waterville. The majority of this map is serviced by regional and third class roads. This map encloses some mountainous regions. The peninsula from Co. Cork is dominated by the Slieve Miskish Mountains and the Caha Mountains. Some of the higher peaks featured on these ranges include Hungry Hill, Maulin, Coomacloghane, Cnoc Eoghain (Knockowen), Knockoura and Mickish Mountain. Coastal features are notorious on this map. Ballinskelligs Bay, Kenmare River, Kilmakilloge Harbour, Ardgroom Harbour, Coulagh Bay, Bear Haven and Bantry Bay all feature along the coast. Scariff Island, Dursey Island and Bear Island are the principal islands along this coastal map.  A number of walking and cycle routes are located around this map. The larger routes include both Béara Way walk and Beara Way cycle route, The Kerry Way and the Ring of Kerry Cycle Route. The smaller routes include the Dunboy Wood Loop, the Emlagh Loop, Sneem-Lomanagh Loop, Ardgroom-Pulleen Loop and a small portion of the Sheep’s Head Cycle Route.
