The Loreley Rock, Cologne Cathedral and Worms Cathedral. Palaces, castles, vineyards and farms.
The Rhine Cycle Route (306 km) between Mannheim and Cologne is such a colourful mix - 5 million people live in the conurbations between Mannheim/Mainz and Cologne/Bonn. And yet, you can always discover nature in all its splendour on this cycle route.
Between Mannheim and Mainz, flat nature reserves, Altenrhein loops and dyke routes. Between Mainz and Koblenz, a picturesque wine and castle region. In the Cologne conurbation, parks and promenades characterise the routes along the Rhine. Particularly charming along the Rhine Cycle Route are the many wine towns, such as Oppenheim, Rüdesheim or Bingen.

There are about 590 km between the start of the Danube Cycle Path in the Black Forest (Donaueschingen) and Passau in Lower Bavaria. The Danube Cycle Path is one of the most frequented cycle paths in Germany.
The Danube flows through a variety of landscapes, and so do the cyclists. It passes through the Black Forest and the Swabian Alb, through forests in Bavaria and the wild and romantic Danube breakthrough near Kehlheim at the foot of the Franconian Alps. In the narrow Upper Danube Valley of the young Danube there is a lot of action. This is where the mountain bikers are to be found. Families appreciate the wide Danube valley of the floodplain forests.

The route accompanies the two rivers from the source of the Neisse in Nova Ves (Czech Republic) to the mouth of the Oder in the Baltic Sea. Along the Neisse River, the route leads through Saxony - with beautiful towns such as Zittau or Görlitz, the monastery of St. Marienthal as well as the famous Fürst-Pückler-Park, the largest landscaped park in Germany. After the mouth of the Oder, the path follows the flat river landscape, the dyke routes, the Oderbruch, the moraine hills and small lakes of the Lower Oder Valley and onto the Szczecin Lagoon. The cycle path ends in Uckermünde, where the Oder flows into the Baltic Sea.

The Pustertaler Radweg (Puster Valley Cycle Path) runs 105 km through the valley of the same name in South Tyrol, from Mühlbach to Lienz in East Tyrol.
The cycle path is particularly suitable for families - the route has few gradients, runs on quiet side roads, asphalted cycle paths and country lanes and has many resting places.
Along the Rienz you pass picturesque villages such as Bruneck, Olang or San Candido. Numerous secondary routes lead to idyllic destinations such as Sand in Taufers or the Antholz Valley. In the last section towards Lienz you cross the Italian-Austrian border and follow the Drau river to your destination.

The Elbe River flows through a total of seven German federal states, and the Elbe Cycle Route nestles 852 km along its flanks.
In the first section of the Elbe Cycle Route (360 km) you cycle through Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt. Famous cities such as Dresden, Meißen, the Luther town of Wittenberg or Dessen and Magdeburg lie along the route. Castles, old towns or churches can be discovered from the saddle.
The Elbe Cycle Path is the most popular cycle path in Germany for good reason. With Saxon Switzerland and the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, there is a unique natural landscape along the way. The Basteifelsen or Königstein are highlights of this section. Fruit trees, agriculture and viticulture accompany the cyclist later in the route at Magdeburg and then the route on the dyke. The wild birds in the floodplains near the river Elbe make a wonderful spectacle.

The Lake Constance Cycle Route leads around the largest lake in the German-speaking region.
Over a distance of 284 kilometres, it links natural and cultural pearls in the varied foothills of the Alps between Germany, Austria and Switzerland. One of the best things about it is that the Bodensee cycle path runs almost entirely on stretches with no significant gradients. For most of the route, there is an alpine panorama around the lake and most of the route is close to the shore passing the most famous cities with culture and lots of charm: Bregenz, Constance, Friedrichshafen and Lindau
