<p>Alan Godfrey has published three versions of this map, showing how the area developed across the years. The 1880 version is in full colour, taken from the beautiful 1st Edition OS handcoloured map.
The maps cover the south part of Nottingham in detail, with coverage stretching from Broad Marsh and Narrow Marsh southward to Trent Bridge cricket ground, and from Holles Crescent eastward to Sneinton Hollows.
Features include (1899 version) River Trent, Forest football ground, Trent Bridge, St Christopher&#039;s church, Midland Railway with main station, locomotive sheds, Mansfield Junction, GNR railway with terminus, carriage shed, Sneinton Junction, GCR railway with engine shed, carriage shed, Meadows Cricket Ground, tramways, Nottingham Canal, St George&#039;s church, Nottingham Castle, LNWR railway goods branch with goods shed, East Croft, Hay Market, St Gabriel&#039;s church, Tinkers Leen, bonded stores, St Nicholas church etc. The 1880 map shows the area at an earlier stage, before the Great Central Railway had opened through the city.
The map links up with Notts sheet 42.02 Central Nottingham to the north, 42.05 Lenton to the west and 42.10 West Bridgford to the south.</p></description>

Features (1899 map) include Victoria station, Market Place, St Mary&#039;s church, St Philip&#039;s church, St Stephen&#039;s church, Sneinton Market, St Matthias church, St Catharine&#039;s church and cemetery, Rosehill Farm, St Ann&#039;s church, lace factories, St Barnabas RC Cathedral, Arboretum, High School, tramways, University College, lace dressing rooms, Theatre Royal, Guildhall, Music Hall, House of Refuge, St Mark&#039;s church etc. The 1881 map shows the city at an earlier stage, before Victoria station had been built. Each map included extracts from early street directories.
The map links up with Notts sheet 38.14 Nottingham North to the north, 42.01 Radford to the west and 42.06 Nottingham South to the south.</p></description>

The maps cover the south part of Nottingham in detail, with coverage stretching from Broad Marsh and Narrow Marsh southward to Trent Bridge cricket ground, and from Holles Crescent eastward to Sneinton Hollows.
Features include (1899 version) River Trent, Forest football ground, Trent Bridge, St Christopher&#039;s church, Midland Railway with main station, locomotive sheds, Mansfield Junction, GNR railway with terminus, carriage shed, Sneinton Junction, GCR railway with engine shed, carriage shed, Meadows Cricket Ground, tramways, Nottingham Canal, St George&#039;s church, Nottingham Castle, LNWR railway goods branch with goods shed, East Croft, Hay Market, St Gabriel&#039;s church, Tinkers Leen, bonded stores, St Nicholas church etc. The 1880 map shows the area at an earlier stage, before the Great Central Railway had opened through the city.

<p>This One Inch to the Mile map covers the area known as The Dukeries,  and part of Sherwood Forest. Coverage stretches from Market Warsop eastward to the River Trent and North Collingham,  and from Fast Markham southward to the northern outskirts of Newark (Newark station is at the foot of the map). The only towns on the map are Tuxford and Ollerton,  though there are several great estates,  such as Welbeck Park,  Thoresby Park,  Wellow Park. On the reverse is a more detailed map of Sutton upon Trent,  complete with directory.  It is not possible to list the many hamlets,  farmsteads and other topographical features shown on these maps. The maps cover the south part of Nottingham in detail, with coverage stretching from Broad Marsh and Narrow Marsh southward to Trent Bridge cricket ground, and from Holles Crescent eastward to Sneinton Hollows.
Features include (1899 version) River Trent, Forest football ground, Trent Bridge, St Christopher&#039;s church, Midland Railway with main station, locomotive sheds, Mansfield Junction, GNR railway with terminus, carriage shed, Sneinton Junction, GCR railway with engine shed, carriage shed, Meadows Cricket Ground, tramways, Nottingham Canal, St George&#039;s church, Nottingham Castle, LNWR railway goods branch with goods shed, East Croft, Hay Market, St Gabriel&#039;s church, Tinkers Leen, bonded stores, St Nicholas church etc. The 1880 map shows the area at an earlier stage, before the Great Central Railway had opened through the city.
