To check how much the delivery for your current order will you will need to proceed to the checkout. The maximum order charge within the U.K. is £10.00 per order regardless of how many items you order on one order. All charges are in pounds sterling.

All orders in the UK are sent by Royal Mail First Class Mail or by UPS courier. Deliveries by courier will have to be signed for upon delivery. To Europe and the rest of the world, they are sent either by Royal Mail to the country of destination and then by the fastest local mail service or for larger orders, by UPS to the country of destination and then by the local courier.

Wall maps are increasingly being sent by courier as Royal Mail will not accept tubes over 90 cm.

Next Day Courier (UK Mainland only) charges for delivery are dependent on weight, please phone for a quote.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

The United States Department of Homeland Security is continuing to require increased security measures for items carried on passenger airlines. As a result, some mail entering the US from around the world, and including the UK, that would normally be sent via passenger aircraft must now travel by other means, including ships and cargo planes.

Most items, including personal letters and cards, magazines, CDs, DVDs and lightweight packets, will be delivered in the US within a few days of posting. However, there are delays of about two weeks for some heavier packets. These delays are currently affecting stamped items, franked items, and items posted under contract, which includes Maps Worldwide deliveries.

All carriers apologise for these unavoidable delays. They have implemented a number of contingency plans to ensure as much of our customers’ mail reaches the US as quickly as possible and are continuing to work to minimise disruption to our customers, whilst ensuring we comply fully with the US directives and regulations.

    Normal Delivery Times

All complete orders of items that are in stock are normally dispatched within 1 to 2 working days with exception of framed and customised items which may take up to 14 days. If your order is a non-stocked item and is delayed for any reason, we will endeavour to place an explanation of the delay on your order tracking, although it is not always possible to say how long the delay will be. The title will be kept on order for up to three months and supplied to you when it becomes available. After 3 months, we will cancel the order or the remainder of the order unless you ask us to keep it on backorder for longer. Incomplete orders will be held until the remaining items come into stock, unless we anticipate a long delay. At our discretion, incomplete orders may be sent out if we anticipate that an item may take some time coming in to stock. You are free to cancel your order or part of your order online at any time. No monies will be debited from your account until we are able to send out your order. The status of your order may be viewed under "view order history" from the front page of the website. The terms used here such as "ready to ship" means that it will generally be sent in the post on the next working day. "Fully sourced" refers to an item that is temporarily out of stock but is on order for you.

The time taken for delivery will vary depending on where you are in the world. Orders, other than for the UK, are sent by Royal Mail Airmail to the country of destination and then by local post, or by UPS to the country of destination and then by local courier. The NORMAL delivery times from dispatch of orders to delivery to your address are given in the table below. But this can vary in other countries for a number of reasons beyond our control. If you require an order urgently, please phone us to make us aware & also so that we can inform you of the status of your order.

    To check the status of your order, please log in using your e-mail address and password, click OK and choose order history. We will make sure that this reflects the current status of your order. "In Progress" means that we have received your order, but have not yet allocated stock to your order. If an item remains "In Progress" after 48 hours of ordering, then we will be waiting for new stock to come in, this will generally vary from a couple of days to 3 weeks. The date shipped will be given in the notes.

Do you offer an express delivery service?

Yes. We provide a Next Day Courier service for the UK mainland at a fixed price of £9.00 per order including packaging, provided the item is in stock. Please telephone, to check if the item is in stock beforehand. We can also provide a World Wide Courier service, their prices vary from £25.00 upwards according to location. If you require a courier service world wide (other than the UK mainland), please e-mail or phone us for a quote.

Can I order maps or books that I cannot find in your catalogue?

Yes, please e-mail us with details of the title, ISBN or area of interest and we will endeavor to offer a range of items. In some cases this may take us a few days to find them.

How do I know if a product I have ordered is in stock?

Our Maps Worldwide Internet catalogue generally includes publications that are available and in print. However, from time to time items can go temporarily out of print with the publisher or items can be out of stock awaiting a new edition. When your order is received, we will check the availability of all the products you have requested. If the item is not in stock we will endeavour to place a note in your order tracking detailing the time when we expect to receive it back in stock. If it is urgent, please phone us. It is important that you give us your correct e-mail address & a telephone number, otherwise we may be unable to contact you or update your order tracking.

How do I place an order?

Find the product that you want, and press the " Buy Now" button. This will transfer details of your order to your shopping basket. When you have completed all your purchases click on " Checkout Now" button. Then work your way through the various registration screens, selecting shipping and payment methods. Once all this is complete, press the "place order" button and the order will be placed. Please print a copy of that page as a receipt although you will receive a confirmation e-mail message from Maps Worldwide confirming full details of your order. Should you not receive this, it may be that any spam software that you may be using has removed your confirmation email to the spam box. In which case you always look at "view order history" to see if your order is there. If not, you may need to place the order again.

You will be given a unique Order ID that will allow you to track the status of your order on-line. However, we can generally track your order by surname, if you should contact us by phone. ( WARNING: Please only book mark to your favourites the front page of the website if you wish to order on another occasion. Please do not bookmark to your favourites the order page. The order ID is unique to each order).

If you are an AOL, HOTMAIL or similar ISP user you should add the following email addresses to your address book: and This will ensure you successfully receive emails from Maps Worldwide, such as order confirmations, forgotten password requests, etc. This is because email software often includes 'adaptive spam filters', which are designed to reduce the amount of spam email you receive.

Order Payment

We are able to accept payment by PayPal in addition to a cheque drawn on a UK bank account. But we can no longer accept cheque payments of less than £25.00.

Orders will not be sent out until credit has been cleared. Please make sure you enter your details correctly otherwise this causes a delay until we have your correct details. Please note: we do not collect payment for orders when you place your order, ONLY when we send the order out. Therefore, if we only send out part of the order, we only charge you for the part of the order that is being sent which will include the £3.00 per order plus the postage charge for the items being sent. Customers paying by cheque will be charged £1.50 per order. The amount charged per order will appear on your order as an itemised charge.

If you want to pay by cheque, then you will need to send us a copy of your e-mail or printed order acknowledgment with the cheque to us before we can accept your order.

You need only send us your credit or debit card details once you get to the checkout. You can enter your valid credit card number and expiry date by one of two options. Despite all our security measures some people are still unhappy to enter credit card details on the internet. If this is the case, please select the "fax" option in the payment method and fax the order to us with your credit card details or alternatively phone us with the card details.

What happens if a price changes?

Publishers can unfortunately raise their prices unexpectedly. However, as part of our commitment to good customer service, we will waive any price increase under £3.00. We will of course contact you for your instructions if any price increase is over £3.00.

Are all items of an order sent out together?

We send all items out from stock or as and when we receive them from our suppliers to save you waiting for items that might not be readily available. Whether they are dispatched together or separately, does not affect the delivery charges you pay.

Returns and Cancellations policy

The Distance Selling Regulations provide consumers with the right to a 'cooling-off' period to allow you to change your mind. Under these regulations, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of delivery (starting the day after you receive the goods) and to return the goods for a refund.

The Distance Selling Regulations do not apply to businesses nor to individuals who are trading or acting as a trader (buying goods to re-sell for profit) because no-one is the 'Consumer'. This means there is no 'cooling-off' period and the order cannot be cancelled once processed.

Cancelling before dispatch

Regardless of whether you are a consumer, business or trader, we are happy to cancel any order before dispatch. Contact us by email at quoting ‘order cancellation’ and your unique order number and we will cancel the order and cancel or refund the payment.

Cancelling after dispatch (Distance Selling Regulations)What happens if my goods are faulty or damaged in transit?

Guy’s Magnets Ltd T/A Maps Worldwide aims to provide our customers with a first class service, which is to their complete satisfaction. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, for whatever reason, please contact us within 14 days of receipt of your order and then please return your item to us in its’ original, undamaged condition and packaging within a further 14 days for a full refund. This returns policy does not apply to the following:

· Multimedia or CD-ROM items once the packaging has been opened

· Customised items such as wall maps, mapping systems and jigsaws

To return your item, please send an email to for a returns authorisation, then please re-package the items securely in their original packaging with a copy of the invoice. Failure to re-use the original package may result in transit damage in which instance the goods will no longer be in saleable condition. In these circumstances, no refund will be given and the goods will remain your property and will be made available for you or your agent or courier to collect at your convenience. Please note that :

· The cost of returning the item to us is the responsibility of the customer and this will NOT be refunded.

· We do not accept underpaid postage items so you must ensure that you pay sufficient postage for the return to be delivered.

· Refunds are only issued upon receipt of the returned goods.

Where the original payment was made by debit/credit cards, the refund will be issued via PayPal. If the original payment was made by BACS or cheque, please provide your sort code and account number and your refund will be made by BACS transfer.

Faulty or Damaged Items

In the extremely unlikely event that your item is damaged during transit or is faulty, we will, at our option, make good any shortage or replace any damaged of faulty goods or refund you to the amount you paid for the product provided that you notify us of the problem, by email, within 14 days of delivery of the goods. Please email quoting ‘damaged maps/books’ and your unique order number in the subject header. Please provide details of the exact nature of the damage or fault. It would assist us if you would also send photographs of the damage or fault. We may, while deciding the best course of action, contact you by telephone or email for further information. We will also contact you to notify as to how the problem is to be resolved.

In the event of a manufacturing defect, we may, at our decision, ask you to return the goods to us. In this, and only in this instance, will the postage charge be refunded by us.

Nothing in this clause affects your Statutory Rights.

    What happens if my order doesn't arrive?

    If you order has been dispatched but takes longer than the expected normal delivery times detailed above, please email us quoting ‘missing item’ and your unique order ID in the subject header and your full name and address in the details and we will endeavour to trace its’ whereabouts as quickly as possible.
