The countryside around Blackburn, Darwen, Chorley and Bolton is home to some of the most inspiring and exhilarating walking country. Known as the West Pennine Moors, the area covers over 80 square miles, all of which is easily accessible. The variety and vibrancy of the landscape can be experienced everywhere - through colourful meadows and ancient woodland, across rugged moorland dissected by wooded valleys and next to the many rivers and reservoirs found in the area.
