Sample Map These are really great topographic hiking maps, covering the most popular hiking areas of Alpine Slovenia. The mapping is in folded paper format, with each product covering an area of 28 x 20 miles at a scale of 1:50 000. Contour lines at 20m intervals together with graphic shading in the mountainous areas give a good representation of land relief. An overprint clearly indicates all the hiking routes, which have any difficult sections clearly marked and all types of accommodation and bus routes and stops indicated. Nearly all these maps are double sided, having an information packed reverse giving sketches of various recommended and/or well situated accommodation possibilities within the coverage areas. Bed quantities and contact details (including phone numbers) are given for these, along with opening times and distances to nearest huts and hostels. The local information content of maps in this range is provided by the Slovenian Alpine Club.
