Pelion is considered one of the most beautiful mountains in Greece and is a popular tourist attraction throughout the year. Hiking trails and stone paths give access to springs, coves and numerous beaches, set among lusciously green slopes. The mountain slopes are covered by beech forests and apple orchards. The remains of the old path networks on Central Pelion are still so dense on that one can walk for months and still discover 'new' routes.
