The Basic Roamer printed on white plastic is suitable for use with all 1:50 000 scale maps. The Basic Roamer is precision engineered, exclusively based on the scale 1:50 000, 1.25 inches to the mile. It is 5 kilometres across (in scale) & 2 miles deep (in scale). The Basic Roamer has 100, 200, 300, 400 & 500 metres radius cut outs. Other features include 1/10th & 1/8th of mile scale, 1/10th of a kilometre scale, 12 & 24 hour clock face, compass points/bearings (with 200 metre radius cut out), 1/4 of grid square (cut out), degree angles (with cut out), 100 yard scale, 1 nautical mile, quick reference to Roman numerals, a hole for a neck cord, 1/2 tenth divisions of kilometre scale, average speed formula, degree points to 360 degrees & 1/8th mile divisions.
