This flexibound street atlas of Essex includes complete countywide mapping in one volume and contains 223 pages of coloured street mapping. The mapping covers Essex in two sections: Section 1: Street mapping at a scale of 1 inch to 1 mile. This mapping includes the whole of the Essex administrative area and extends to cover Barrington, Duxford, Linton, Haverhill, Long Melford, Sudbury, Colchester, Manningtree, Harwich, Frinton-on-Sea, Clacton-on-Sea, Burnham-on-Crouch, Shoeburyness, Southend-on-Sea, Canvey Island, Gravesend, Swanley, Rainham, Islington, Enfield, Hertford, Buntingford and Royston. At the end of this section on page 48 there is a postcode map. And Section 2: Street mapping at a scale of approximately 3 inches to 1 mile. This detailed mapping extends to cover all the major built up areas throughout the county together with the vast majority of streets in rural areas. The 87 page index section gives references for both sections of the atlas and lists streets, selected flats, walkways and places of interest, junctions, place and area names and National Rail stations. There is a separate index to hospitals, health centres and hospices. The front and back covers have been extended to provide two folds that display handy reference panels for the mapping in each section of the atlas.
