A lot has happened since Discovery published their first Tenerife Hiking Map, including a new reprint of Walk! Tenerife with new D1 and D2 walking routes in the mapping areas. Tenerife's new GR131 long distance walking route has been constructed and opened in 2010. The new TF5 high speed road has arrived disrupting our 'True Grit' route in the west, now with an alternative route using bridges over the new road. Since 2006 they have compiled a mass of new gps ground survey information especially walking trails. All this adds up to a lot of changes and new information being added to the map sections.

Includes: GR131 - Tenerife's newly opened (2010) long distance walking route - is shown on the Valle de Orotava, El Portillo, and the new Las Canadas/Adeje/Arona map sections, including the new 'must do' final section from Vilaflor to Arona via Ifonche.
Las Canadas and Adeje/Arona map sections have been georeferenced together and the joining area mapped; this is so that the new 'must do' section of the GR131 is shown in full all the way from the Siete Canadas track in Las Canadas all the way down to Arona, it also means that walk 17 is shown on the new expanded map section. This section also includes the new D2 Parador - Deg Guajara - Paisaje Lunar - Vilaflor route in full with alternatives. Tenerife West now has the TF5 high speed road including the bridges carrying 'True Grit' new route over the new road, plus the new D1 Scenic Ridge route to Masca.
