These detailed maps maps normally cover an area of about one and a half miles by one mile. Each map includes an introduction. The London and Middlesex maps form a series of over 400 maps for the Greater London area.
There are two versions of this map, each covering the same area. This is centred on Cricklewood and stretches from St Michael's Road eastward to Finchley Road; from Oxgate Gardens southward to Hillfield Road and Melrose Avenue. Features include the Midland Railway incl station, engine shed, sidings and carriage shed; All Saint's church, St Gabriel's Cricklewood; Fortune Green, Hampstead Cemetery, Child's Hill, omnibus depot, and the 1912 map has tramways. On the reverse of the 1894 map is a large extract from the 1st Edition map showing Cricklewood and Child's Hill in 1868. The 1912 map, which has far more housing development, has extracts from a contemporary street directory.
The map links up with Sheets 17 Golders Green to the north, 25 Neasden to the west, 27 Hampstead to the east, 36 Willesden Green to the south.
