These maps are highly detailed. They are taken from the OS 1:2,500 (or 25 inch) maps and reduced to about 15 inches to the mile. They show streets with individual houses, tram tracks, railway tracks and even signals, factories, wharves and such details as fountains and water troughs. They will provide hours of fascination for historians and genealogists. The maps are neatly folded and each includes a specially written introduction to the area.

There are three published versions of this map, showing how the area developed across the years. The maps each cover the same area, stretching from Eland Road and Culvert Road eastward to Hartington Road and Jeffrey's Road; and from Battersea Park station southward to Lillieshall Road and Grafton Square. Major roads through the map include Lavender Hill, Wandsworth Road and Bsattersea Park Road east-west, Queens Road north-south. Major railways cross the map and features include Queens Road, Battersea Park, Wandsworth Road and Clapham stations, Stewarts Lane goods station, Nine Elms loco depot, Longhedge Works, and the complicated junctions around these: West London Jct, Pouparts Jct, Longhedge Jct, Factory Jct, Stewarts Lane Jct. Full track layouts are given, along with details such as signal boxes, signal posts, turntables etc. The maps are also busy with housing, much of Clapham along the southern part of the map, including the north part of Old Town; Battersea is north and west, and parts of Lambeth and Stockwell to the eastern edge. Part of Battersea Park is in the NW corner. Each map has street directory extracts on the reverse, those for the 1913 map including Battersea Park Rd, Larkhall Lane, Lavender Hill, Queens Rd, Silverthorne Rd, Wandsworth Rd.
