Maps of France
IGN (Institut Geographique National) publish the most popular maps of France apart from Michelin. For road maps of France, IGN produce a series maps at 1:250 000 and 1:100 000. By far the most popular maps of France are the 1:25 000 topographic maps. These are ideal for walking, cycling & other activities. These maps are divided into two types, the Blue Series which has a suffix E or O (East or West) and the TOP 25 Series with a suffix ET or OT (again east or west). The TOP 25 maps cover the more popular areas. If you are exploring France and need a guide, the Michelin Green Guides are a very useful starting point.
